Biography

Sharrarne Morton has been in the media industry for over 20 years.

After college graduation, Sharrarne worked in politics and then ran for state senate. Afterward, she was invited to be a commentator on an ABC News affiliate in Washington, DC. What was meant to be a one-time appearance on ABC7, turned into a 14-year stint where Sharrarne became a popular and regular commentator. 

As a television commentator, Sharrarne was given numerous opportunities to speak in front of live audiences. While commentating on TV, she launched Morton Media where she began to produce and host TV and radio shows as well as produce TV commercials. Sharrarne has been featured on many platforms including ABC7, Fox5, NBC4, TV One, Black Enterprise, the Washington Post, and many others.

Sharrarne currently produces and hosts a national SiriusXM Radio show called “Skin Deep”. She also coaches small businesses on how to get to that next level of success by leveraging the power of media. 

Sharrarne knows the importance of giving back. In 2021, she founded Black Door Society (BDS) to help women open doors to success. BDS connects women of color to high net worth and high network opportunities that allow them to scale their businesses, increase their wealth, and build legacy.
